Assalamualaikum wbt.
Thank you jugak pada yang share additional info which I considered as new for me..
Haaa.. Jangan duk ikut orang nah.. Sebab badan kita lain-lain.. Kadang method tu succeed dengan orang ni, tapi failed dengan orang tu. And sometimes, it might be sustainable to this group of homo sapiens, not that group. Jadinya kena pandai cari la mana hat rasa ok dengan badan. Trial and Error la senang kata.
Ok. Sambung lagi pasal IF ni.

IF. Intermittent Fasting. Bukan Impact Factor.
Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
Haiiiii.. Lama tak nampak sis bersiaran kan..? Ada ja. Duk buat keja hakiki yang tak kan habis sampai pencen. Tak dan la hai nak membebel kat sini. Tapi sebab isu ni tengah 'in' sekarang, sejak LS reveal dia amalkan IF ni dan kelihatan muda remaja, sis cari jugak la masa sikit nak membebel. Bukan nak tunjuk pandai naaaa... Sis pun masih duk gali lagi ilmu pasal IF ni. Mostly bila google, depa duk elaborate bahasa omputih. Jenuh la sis google translate haaa..
So, sini sis nak cuba elaborate balik, in the simplest way, yang sis harap sangat dapat bantu sesiapa yang masih blur lagi pasal IF ni.
Ready?
So, lets start!

Fullmoon VS Childbirth
Assalamualaikum.
Haha.
Maapkan aku. Kali ni dah tersampuk sungguh dah ni.
Boleh hadam dak kisah fullmoon semalam?
Harap semua ok naaa...
Sebab depa kata depa tak buleh nak buat conclusion since depa tak collect apa nama tah satu benda tu which is related to anatomy badan kita ni.
Nampak dak aku kasi CAPS word statistically tu?

Assalamualaikum.
Sekarang ni, tengah fullmoon phase kan..?
Anak-anak kalian apa khabar? Harapnya sihat. Anak-anak aku, kurang sihat. Diserang batuk kahak dan selsema sikit. Puncanya ibu dia terlepas pandang sikit hari tu. Huhu. Padan la muka ibu dia.
Well, benda ni dah agak lama sebenarnya. So, in Shaa Allah, hari ni aku share la sikit-sikit apa yang aku tau.
Awat duk kalut sangat bila mai FULLMOON atau kadang-kadang NEWMOON ni?
Haaa.. Cuma, in certain point, at certain time, kita kena monitor depa ni dari duk buat huru hara dalam badan kita.
Huru hara lagu mana?

Milk Blister
Hai Mommies..
Saya ada 1 benda nak share..
Pasal Milk Blister.
Milk Blister. Familiar tak? Saya pun baru je familiar with this term. Huhu. Before ni tak tau pun.
Tapi saya kerap mengalaminya.
Syukur.
Saya jarang mengalami Breast Engorgement. Unless, waktu malam Alya Amani hanya menyusu sebelah B sahaja and saya tak bangun pam untuk the other B. Kalau malam saya kerap gilir-gilir nyusukan Alya Amani or saya bangun pam the other side yang Alya Amani tak minum, InsyaALLAH, tak de engorgement.
CUMA, saya seringkali mengalami Milk Blister.
Menurut KellyMom.com,
Saya mengalaminya since dalam pantang tempoh hari. Itu pun sebab umi saya yang cakap. Tapi dia tak la cakap Milk Blister. Dia cakap saluran susu tersumbat. Dia yang suruh saya check on the nipple kot ada some sort of white dot ke tak.. And bila check, memang ada la. Picit-picit, susu tak keluar. Bahagian areola yang berdekatan dengan white dot tu macam sakit and hard.
Umi ajar suruh puncture guna jarum. And Alhamdulillah, lepas tu, lega. Susu keluar macam sediakala.. ^_^
Semalam, baru perasan yang Alya Amani banyak menyusu belah kiri. Belah kanan, kurang sikit. Bila petang, dia tidur, saya nak pam, mula perasan ada 1 tempat yang susu selalu keluar laju, tak keluar susu. Belek-belek, cari-cari, sah ada white dot tu lagi.
Gigih saya cari jarum. Mak aihhh. Kali ni mencabar betul. Biasanya kalau pakai Harmony, memang white dot tu tak timbul tapi kalau pakai Avent Manual, timbul la and senang untuk dicungkil keluar.
Semalam, memang tak jalan.
Alya Amani bangun, mintak bantuan dia. Kecik tu sampai marah-marah sebab aliran susu jadi slow.
Dah tak nak tolong ibu dah. Terpaksa la jugak bagi yang belah lagi 1.
Dari petang, membawa ke malam, saya masih gigih nak cuba cungkil white dot tu. Still tak dapat.
Ya Allah, memang mencabar ni.
Dah la susu belah kanan normally banyak sikit compared to belah kiri. Risau dah saya kot-kot stok nak simpan tak cukup. Masa mandi pagi tadi, saya perasan, white dot tu tersangat la clear. Tak sabar nak keluar bilik air, nak cungkil. Sekali bila dah ready nak cungkil, invisible lah pulak. Oh My... Memang frust la...
Lepas tu googling pasal Milk Blister ni..
And saya nak share sikit cara-cara nak treat benda ni,
Boleh baca sendiri kot kat KellyMom. Hihi.. Malas nak further explain.
Atau boleh jugak baca kat breastfeeding-problems.com.
And yang paling detail, ada kat sini.
So, sekarang dah tau apa itu Milk Blister?
Ok. Sekarang saya nak cuba get rid of this Milk Blister. Nak cuba cungkil lagi.
Wish me luck!!

Menurut KellyMom.com,
A milk blister, or blocked nipple pore, is also called a bleb or nipple blister, or simply “milk under the skin.” It occurs when a tiny bit of skin overgrows a milk duct opening and milk backs up behind it. A milk blister usually shows up as a painful white, clear or yellow dot on the nipple or areola, and the pain tends to be focused at that spot and just behind it. - (KellyMom, 2011)Breastfeeding-problems.com pulak, define Milk Blister macam ni,
A blocked nipple pore “milk blister” also called a milk bleb, breastfeeding blister or nipple blister is actually a very common breastfeeding problem. It may appear on the nipple and/or the areola as just a white, clear or yellow dot, but might sometimes stand out as a large blister. Most of the time it is quite painful on the tip of the nipple, but some moms feel the pain further behind inside the breast. - (breastfeeding-problems.com, 2012)Ok, sekarang dah faham apa itu Milk Blister?

Can We Avoid Episiotomy?
Yes, we can.
Assalamualaikum. :)
Hari ni, kita kembali ke kelas ibu-ibu mengandung ye? Hihihi..
Ok, first thing first. Episiotomy. Tau tak ape tu? Alaaa, orang kampung macam saya cakap 'gunting'.
Masa antenatal class last Saturday, doc ada mentioned about this. And saya adalah orang yang paling excited dengar. The doc said, normally for the first timer memang doc akan buat episiotomy ni. Since tak pernah deliver kan. So, kadar stretchable tu adalah berkurang sedikit la. But then, tiba-tiba dia ada sebut pasal kita boleh avoid dari berlakunya benda ni.
Apa yang saya risaukan pasal episiotomy ni?
Ye. Harus lah mengenai jahitan selepas episiotomy nanti. I just can't imagine how it will feel. Orang kata 'jahit hidup'. Seriau ok. Lepas tu penjagaan selepas bersalin nanti. Lagilah saya rasa ngilu. Phewww..
Doc kata, it is normal to have episiotomy for first time mommy.
Tapi, midwife kata better to avoid episiotomy.
And now saya dah confused.
Then, the midwife ada informed about Kegel Exercise. Yang ini, adalah saya practiced time teringat. Tapi bila midwife tu pesan berkali-kali, saya jadi lebih alert. Bila teringat je, saya buat. Hopefully, membantu la.
Lepas tu pulak, saya teringat doc did mention about Perineal Massage. Seriously saya tak pernah dengar pasal perineal massage ni before this. And teringin sangat nak tahu sebab doc kata lagi, massage ni sangat-sangat membantu untuk avoid episiotomy. Seriau ok. If it was fated that I have to have episiotomy, then saya redha.
So now, saya rasa M2B dah clear kot pasal episiotomy ni.
Hopefully, Lil Miracle tak la besar sangat, ngam-ngam saiz umminya. And hopefully, Lil Miracle keluar dengan sangat mudah. Ameen. >.<

What it feels like when your baby drops? - BabyCenter, FamilyEducation
You may have less heartburn and have an easier time breathing when your baby starts to "drop" down into your pelvis. This process – called lightening – often happens a few weeks before labor if this is your first baby. (If you've given birth before, it probably won't happen before labor starts.) If your baby drops, you may also feel increased pressure in your lower abdomen, which may make walking increasingly uncomfortable, and you'll probably find that you have to urinate even more often than before. If your baby is very low, you may feel lots of vaginal pressure and discomfort as well. Some women say it feels as though they're carrying a bowling ball between their legs!- BabyCenter
Engagement is when your baby's head starts to move down into the pelvic brim in preparation for birth, and this can occur any time in these final few weeks of pregnancy, until the start of your labor. In the last weeks of pregnancy, your doctor will check to see if the head has started to engage, or drop, sometimes called "lightening." Your doctor will do an examination to check to see where the baby's head is. This is called the station, and it's measured from -5 (the baby's head is floating above the pelvis) to +5, the head is at the opening of the vagina. This last stage is called crowning. When your baby drops, you may find it easier to breathe, since your lungs will have more room to expand, or the need to urinate more because of more pressure on your bladder. - FamilyEducation
Actually, I didn't feel any obvious early signs yet so far. Just mild cramping (period pain) since early last week. Itu pun not frequent. Kadang tu sakit sekejap, then it stopped. Lepas tu, in 30 minutes baru datang balik. And, the most important thing is, saya rasa sakit tu still bearable. Bolehhhh?? Hahaha..
Bila baca-baca kat BabyCenter, barulah rasa macam.. "Owhh. Dah dropped la kot.."
Lately, obvious sangat rasa selesa tidur terlentang. Before this, the longest I can bear is about 30 minutes. Tu pun nasib baik sangat lah kan. Tapi sekarang, rasanya sungguh la best bila tidur terlentang. Hihihi.
Kalau bab heartburn, honestly sepanjang pregnancy ni hanya beberapa kali je saya diserang heartburn.
Since early this week. And sah-sah la rasa kerap nak terkucil even minum tak kerap pun. Bila ke toilet, terkucilnya sikit je. Unusual lah.
And, lagi 1, proses pembuangan adalah sangat superb seperti yang saya pernah mentioned before. Cuma, kali ni rasa nak membuang even baru je lepas 3,4 hours membuang. But then bila ke toilet, duduk kemain lama, apa pun tak keluar. It's not constipation. It's just rasa nak, tapi sebenarnya tak ada apa pun yang nak keluar. Huhu.
So, kesimpulannya saya tak sure whether my baby has been dropped or not. Hihi. Tunggu check up next Tuesday then we'll see how.
For you and Abah!
I promised!
Please always be healthy and good inside...
See you then M2B. Semoga sentiasa sihat both mommies and babies. For those yang seangkatan dengan saya yang sedang menanti detik dan saat indah ini, semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan ye kawan-kawan. Stay strong! Never give up! Allah ada bersama kita.

How to Induce Labor in Natural Way
Assalamualaikum.
Latest update, 34 ++ weeks antenatal check up.
Mom's weight : 61kg - gained 1 kg in 2 weeks. Alhamdulillah.
Baby's current weight : About 2 kg ++. Alhamdulillah.
Mom's BP : 100/70
Mom's Urine : OK.
Mom's HB : 10.5.
Fetal Movement : Very good. Alhamdulillah. Syukur.
Fetal Heartbeat : Good.
Fundus Height : 34 cm. Alhamdulillah, sama macam umur baby.
Placenta's position : Alhamdulillah, anterior upper. Di tempat yang sepatutnya.
Baby's position : Cephalic. Alhamdulillah, baby dengar cakap abah. Finally dia head down jugak. ^_^
Edema : N/A. Alhamdulillah. Hopefully it won't. Kaki and jari tangan saya masih lagi normal. Syukur. ^_^
Saya inform doc pasal these few days ada rasa macam tak selesa and some sort of period pain kat lower abdomen ni. Doc pesan suruh monitor the gap. Lepas tu directly pegi je hospital. Ok. Berdebar.
Terfikir la pasal dilation. Adakah saya senang nak dilate? Hopefully yes.
So, I found the natural ways to induce labor. In another word, natural ways to help mom2be to dilate. Saya refer WhatToExpect.
So, meh saya share sikit on how to induce labor in natural way.
1. Walking (Berjalan).
WhatToExpect kata,
The simple act of walking during pregnancy may help draw the baby down into your pelvis (thanks to gravity and the swaying of your hips). The pressure of the baby on your pelvis may then prime your cervix for labor — or may help labor progress if you've already felt some contractions. And if walking doesn't do the trick, it'll at least get you in shape for D-day (aka delivery day). Just don't walk too much and tire yourself out before the big day. You'll need all the energy you can muster to push out that baby of yours!
2. Sex
WhatToExpect kata,
While it may seem almost impossible to pull off a romp in the sack when you're 40 weeks pregnant (and counting!), you may want to give sex a try. Sperm contains prostaglandins — hormones that can help thin and dilate the cervix, ripening it for delivery. What's more, an orgasm releases the hormone oxytocin, which can trigger contractions. If nothing else, this no-cost attempt to induce labor naturally may relieve some tension — mainly from laughing as you attempt to do the deed. It's also a great way to strengthen your twosome right before you become a threesome.
And saya pulak kata, no comment. Hahaha. Tapi I've read somewhere regarding this. Even mom2be yang kena induced labor, they have 3 types of hormones to be used. 1, inserted into the vagina which has the same content in sperm. 2, inserted thru drip which has oxytocin (if i not mistaken). 3, I am not very sure sebab not very familiar. Normally those 2 yang biasa orang buat la.
3. Evening primrose oil
WhatToExpect kata,
Many midwives suggest evening primrose oil for their pregnant patients, since this herb can help the cervix thin and dilate and prep it for labor. You can take evening primrose oil capsules, or rub the oil onto your cervix during the last weeks of pregnancy. You can even insert the capsules into your vagina. But be sure to talk to your practitioner before trying evening primrose oil — women with placenta previa should stay away from the herb. There are other herbs — like red raspberry leaf — that also can induce labor naturally. But unless your practitioner is a pro when it comes to herbs, steer clear of them.
And saya kata, masuk akal jugak sebab EPO can actually bagi some contractions pada rahim kita. That is why we are not advise to consume EPO after ovulation. Sebabnya takot in case of kita dah conceive, EPO ni boleh akibatkan miscarriage pulak. So, beware ye kawan-kawan. EPO is good before ovulation. But please stop after you ovulated and consume again if you're not +ve pregnant. I'll try this one starting on nextweek and above. InsyaALLAH.
4. Castor Oil.
WhatToExpect kata,
What's the 411 on this vegetable oil? It's a laxative (and not a very tasty one, either). If you take a shot of it, it can stimulate your bowels (by causing spasms in the intestines) and, in turn, irritate your uterus and cause it to start contracting. The downside: If you're not already showing signs of labor, taking castor oil can just give you a bad case of diarrhea (something you probably want to avoid this close to childbirth). Bottom line: Consider the consequences of castor oil carefully, and talk with your practitioner before you take a spoonful.
5. Spicy Food
WhatToExpect kata,
Can spicy food really jump-start labor? Some people believe that spicy food, like castor oil, irritates your intestines (but more gently) and that can cause your uterus to contract. Of course, there's no evidence that proves that spicy foods are natural labor inducers. But if you think your bloated belly can stomach a couple of chili tacos, go for it. Just remember that you might bring on heartburn instead of labor.
6. Acupuncture
WhatToExpect kata,
Acupuncture, the art of inserting thin needles into specific pressure points on the body, can stimulate uterine activity and nudge the baby into action — and many experts and mamas-to-be swear this technique is a natural way to induce labor. Of course, even the most die-hard proponents of acupuncture during pregnancy say that if the baby isn't ready to make a grand entrance, acupuncture alone isn't likely make it happen. So unless you're really impatient, save the money.
7. Acupressure
Similar to acupuncture, this is another age-old practice that entails putting pressure on specific points on the body to stimulate uterine activity, except that instead of using needles, you can use fingertips (including your own — or your partner's). Two pressure points that may induce labor naturally: The webbing between your thumb and index finger, and the inside of your leg about four finger-widths above the ankle bone. But before your press, talk with your practitioner.
8. Nipple stimulation
Are you sitting around twiddling your thumbs, waiting for the baby to arrive? How about twiddling your nipples instead? That's right, nipple stimulation (massaging and twisting) for a few hours a day can cause your body to release the hormone oxytocin, which brings on contractions. But when it comes to natural ways to induce labor, practitioners generally don't recommend this one. That's because it can cause long, painful contractions that could potentially lower fetal heart rate. So unless your practitioner monitors this technique, hands off the nipples (and tell your partner to lay off too!). You'll get plenty of nipple action once your newborn arrives and starts looking for food.
9. Massage
Studies show that a massage can raise your body's level of oxytocin, that hormone that can bring on contractions. Some massage therapists swear by their ability to help jump-start labor when a mom-to-be is overdue. (Many even focus on certain pressure points to move labor along.) Not into massages? Meditation and even just cuddling with your partner can help relax you, which might get your oxytocin levels pumping (it's no coincidence that the majority of labors start late at night, when an expectant mom is warm and cozy in bed — a state that triggers the release of oxytocin). So if you're anxious about that baby who doesn't want to leave his cozy bed, try a stress-relieving activity like meditation during pregnancy. Even if your efforts don't directly trigger labor, you'll be waiting in a more-relaxed frame of mind.
Ok. So, semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan ye. :) Ameen

You'll need all the energy you can muster to push out that baby of yours!
And saya sendiri kata,
it was so true. Sebabnya, saya memang suka and kuat berjalan. Until now, orang kata saya dah sarat tapi saya still merayau-rayau dimerata tempat. Nak ajak window shopping, insyaALLAH saya tak tolak. Hahaha. Cuma kena bear dengan sakit punggung la sikit. Lepas tu malam kena ada orang picit-picit betis sebelum tidur. Hihihi. ^_^2.
Saya kata,
agaknya inilah kot yang mak-mak and nenek-nenek kita maksudkan dengan minyak selusuh tu kot. I am not very sure about this. Sorry. ^_^ 5.
Saya kata,
No comment. Tak pernah try. 6.
Yang ini, saya tak pernah cuba. Tapi mungkin takkan cuba kot. Hihi.
:) Ameen

Medicine during Pregnancy
Assalamualaikum.
Alhamdulillah, masih bernafas di hari Jumaat penghulu segala hari.
Cuma, diuji sedikit. Since malam semalam hidung saya tersumbat. Tekak dah mula rasa perit (tapi still rasa gian nak minum cold drinks). Malam semalam, setakat tersumbat je. Bernafas ikut mulut je.
Dah masuk semalam, dah mula berair pulak. Tekak makin perit.
So, hari ni decided to see the doctor untuk mintak vitamin C. Before this, vitamin C helped a lot.
Dah jumpa doctor, dia tanya since bila selsema.
Saya cakap malam semalam but yesterday dah mula berair hidung plus hari ni sneezing pulak tak henti-henti.
Lepas tu explained to the doc pasal tekak rasa perit macam nak batuk tapi tak batuk.
She examined my tonsil. And, dia cakap tonsil saya dah mula bengkak.
Huh, this is me. Bila flu, confirmed tonsil akan get infected. Kesian. Harap tak sampai pedih-pedih la.
Doc cakap, since you are pregnant, I'll give you a low dose of antibiotics to prevent any infection to your baby.
So, hasilnya tadi, saya dibekalkan dengan these meds,
Setelah meng'google' sana sini, saya jumpa banyak info.
First, pasal yang no. 2. Clarityne Tab atau nama lain dia Claritin. Yang ini memang listed in 'Safe Medication to Take During Pregnancy'. So, dah tak perlu risau. Perlu telan je.
Mengenai yang no.1 tu pulak, ada sedikit was-was dihati. And mungkin selagi tak teruk sangat, saya tak amek kot yang tu. From what I read in Drugs.com,
Untuk antibiotic pulak, I found this,
So, now dah agak confident tapi buat masa ni maybe saya just amek Vit C and campur dengan some fresh oranges kot. Sebab before this, all these helped me.
Ye? Thank you.
Oh. Lupa. Lagi 1, nak mintak pendapat from readers out there mungkin ada yang dalam bidang pharmacy or medicine ke kan.. Thanks guys. ^_^

"Reproduction studies have been performed in rats and rabbits at doses up to 5 times the human dose and have revealed no evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus due to Diphenhydramine hydrochloride. There are, however, no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Because animal reproduction studies are not always predictive of human response, this drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed."So, to be on the safe side saya rasa selagi boleh tahan, saya tahan.
Untuk antibiotic pulak, I found this,
"Amoxicillin is considered a pregnancy Category B medication. This means that it is probably safe for use during pregnancy, although the full risks are not known. Talk to your healthcare provider about the risks and benefits of using amoxicillin during pregnancy."(see Amoxicillin and Pregnancy for more information)

About Breastfeeding Class
Assalamualaikum.
As promised, hari ni saya nak share pasal kelas breastfeeding tempoh hari. ^_^
Cuma yang berbeza ialah the way they presented and shared the knowledge. Sama jugak macam kita baca sendiri. True? So, saya rasa stail UMMC ni lain sikit because of diorang ni 'baby-friendly hospital'. Nama lain dia, Hospital Rakan Bayi.
The different between KK and UMMC presented their talk is just the materials. UMMC guna slide presentation. Ada animation bagai. Menariklah sikit compared to KK kan? Plus UMMC memang menggalakkan husband untuk join sekali. So just the husband know that BF ni bukanlah untuk the mommy sahaja. It includes the daddy also. :)
Apa yang saya belajar?
1. Polisi Penyusuan Susu Ibu Malaysia
Moms are encouraged to BF their babies until 6 months and continue up to 2 years old. Ini bermaksud, for the first 6 months, memang kena fully BF without any solid food YET. Lepas tu, baru introduce babies dengan solid food or another makanan tambahan.
2. Advantages of colostrum.
Kaya dengan antibodi which can immune your babies from any infections and allergies, Kaya dengan vitamin A&E which can prevent infection and penyakit mata, kaya dengan sel darah putih which of course lah boleh lindungi babies from jangkitan, and sejenis laksatif yang mengeluarkan mekonium dan mencegah jaundis.
3. Advantages of BF to Mommies.
- Of course lah dapat mengeratkan hubungan antara mommy and baby. Betul tak?
- Boleh melindungi kesihatan ibu.
- Membantu mengecutkan rahim dan mengurangkan pendarahan. (Yang ini saya suka. Nurse tu explain dengan penuh perasaan. She said, bila kita BF baby masa awal-awal nanti akan rasa some sort of contraction kat rahim. It's like contraction masa nak deliver. She added, rasa macam nak bersalin lagi sekali je rasa sakit tu. Tapi dia tak risau la sebab dia tahu during BF, memang kesakitan tu normal masa awal-awal.)
- Reduce the risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
- It helps moms to reduce weight after delivery. ( Yang ni pon menarik jugak. ^_^ Nurse tu cakap, masa pregnant kan badan mommies store more fats. Then, masa BF tu la mommies transfer all the fats to babies. Sebab tu saya perasan ramai senior yang BF baby dorang, makin slim lepas deliver. HEHEHE.)
- Menjarakkan kehamilan. ^_^
4. Advantages to both mommy and baby
- Merangsang penghasil susu.
- Mengelakkan berlakunya engorgement. More on breast engorgement, refer here.
- Ibu boleh menyusu baby mengikut kehendak baby. ^_^
5. Bagaimana memastikan susu ibu mencukupi?
- Mulakan BF 1 hour after bersalin.
Jangan pulak baby tidur, mama pun tidur. Ye?
- Teknik latching kena betul. Macamana? So bila baby start minum, lips dia akan press tempat tu and susu akan keluar tanpa menyakitkan kita. Kalau baby latching salah, mungkin akan berlaku sore nipples. Pastu sakit, tak boleh dah nk BF anak. Yang ini kita tak mahu. Kan? Untuk bantuan, refer sini ye. Ha, lagi 1, teknik mommies mengampu cik B masa BF pun penting jugak. Kena buat pegangan C. Tak boleh pegang V. Emmmm. Macamana nak describe ye.. Ok, pegangan C is like gambar kat bawah ni. Ibu jari kat atas, telunjuk kat bawah. Pegangan V pulak jari telunjuk kat atas, jari hantu kat bawah. Ok. Faham tak?
- Pump bila perlu. Seeloknya, masa pantang tu start terus. Jangan tunggu minggu depan nak masuk kerja, hari ni baru nak start belajar pumping. Not good. And not advisable. Mula dari awal tau mommies. Normally, newborn BF tak banyak sangat. So, balance yang ada lagi tu pump and masuk freezer. Nanti by the time masuk kerja, dah boleh pakai balik.
6. BF position.
OK.Last but not least, kami belajar cara-cara nak cairkan EBM dengan shelf-life dia mengikut tempat penyimpanan.
- Kalau peti ais 2 pintu, tapi simpan kat bawah, EBM tahan sampai paling lama 8 hari.
- Untuk peti ais 1 pintu pulak, 2 minggu aje.
- Yang paling best, deep freezer. EBM tahan sampai 6 bulan.
Untuk cairkan EBM pulak,
- EBM yang kita letak kat bahagian beku tu mestilah di'defrost' kan kat bahagian bawah semalaman. Bukan defrost dalam microwave ye. AWAS.
- Rendam bekas EBM tu dalam air suam.
- Lepas tu check temperature dia before feeding the baby. Agak-agak la kan. Jangan panas sangat.
Hoh. Lengthy entry. Lenguh tangan dah. Mom-to-Be sume pun mesti dah lenguh baca kan? Hihi. Ini je la yang saya mampu share.
Oh, lagi 1. For those yang pernah masuk kelas ni, maybe dah ada kot list.
1. Dr. Hairin - 0127226713
2. Dr. Norazah - 0123500973
3. Dr. Kamila - 0192415005
4. Pn. Leelavathy - 0133333904
5. Pn. Halimah - 0193701295
Banyaaaaak sangat.
Ok. Itu je untuk hari ini.
Thanks.
** Special thanks to Kak Yati, UMMC.

6. BF position.
Saya nak desribe, sure lah tak pandai kan. So, layan je gambar ni. Hasil encik google jugak. ^_^
Saya rasa, cross cradle hold adalah favourite position for most of mommies kot. Kan? Eh, ke saya silap? Saya rasa saya suka position tu.
And, need more info? Terus je baca kat sini.
7. How to store the EBM.
Lepas tu, nak guna tu nanti ikot sistem FIFO (First In First Out).
- Terus masuk peti sejuk.

Morning Sickness During Pregnancy
Assalamualaikum...
Ok. Hari ni, masih cerita pasal pregnancy. ^_^
I am excited. Almaklumlah masa awal-awal pregnancy dulu saya tak memblog pasal pregnancy saya. Dikhuatiri mengganggu sesetengah pihak. Plus memang saya berniat tak nak heboh-hebohkan pregnancy saya kali ini sehinggalah baby bump menonjol, dan saya memang bercadang nak sharing-sharing gud news ni in my 3rd trimester. Alhamdulillah, dah tak lama lagi dah. >.<
Hahaha. Weirdo. Right? But, honestly memang saya tunggu-tunggu. Orang kata, kita mungkin akan ikut mak kita. Some people said, mungkin juga akan ikut MIL kita. So, in my case saya memang tak tau MIL macamana masa hamilkan husband dulu. My ummi, memang senang. >.< Dah berangan dah masa tu sebab my 1st pregnancy, memang langsung tak ada rasa apa-apa except sakit masa nak tau saya ectopic. Tu je. Seriously, I don't like vomiting. Sungguh-sungguh-sungguh tidak selesa.
Kali ini, memang berharap agar tiada sebarang masalah. Tapi a week before due period, saya dah mula rasa lain macam. Nak makan kat luar, I mean kat kedai makan, memang tak lalu. Tak tahu kenapa. No reasons. Saya prefer berbekal lauk dinner bawak pergi office untuk santapan lunch. Almost sepanjang week tu lah. And sometimes saya rasa macam pening-pening. Bila dah disahkan hamil, saya rasa macam sihat balik. Energetic kembali. TAPIIIIIIII.... entering week 8, saya dah mula rasa lain macam. Harapan nak mewarisi ummi hanya tinggal harapan. Masa tu bulan puasa. It was totally change. Sangat terbalik. Seriously sepanjang bulan puasa, saya rasa lembik. Selebihnya hanya mampu beli. Nasib baik rumah dekat dengan bazar.
Bila jumpa gynea, dia tanya "Are you OK so far?"
Saya jawab, "OK, but currently I loss my appetite. Vomiting."
Gynea cakap, " Well, it's good. Ermm. I mean it's a good sign. You're vomiting because your body are now adapting with the new hormones which came from the sac itself. So you should be happy. Last time you didn't experince this one, right?"
Saya hanya senyum dan anggukkan kepala. Balik, terus google. Hahhaa. And, saya jumpa 1 fact ni. It says "Many health care providers think morning sickness is a good sign because it means the placenta is developing well." Terus saya rasa lega. >.< source : AmericanPregnancy
Morning sickness saya berterusan secara tetap sampai lah saya loss weigth almost 5kgs. Huhu. People who don't know that I am pregnant keep on telling me that I am losing weight. Nampak kurus sangat. Oh. I mean, 'kurus sangat' compared to sebelum saya kawen. Ok.
1 of my junior tegur saya, "eh, akak. Dah kuruslah sekarang. Orang dah kawen memang loss weight ye? Nak kawen jugak lah kalau macam ni."
-_-" Adehh.. Masa tu I am 4 months pregnant kot.
It continues until my 5th month of pregnancy. Orang kata dah masuk 2nd trimester, InsyaALLAH sihat kembali la kan..? Dalam kes saya, tidak. Berat pun tak naik. After 5 months carrying this little miracle, the symptom of vomiting tu dah kurang. Unless saya over makan. 'Over makan' here means kalau saya terambil portion macam before pregnant dulu. FYI, portion makanan saya during pregnancy ni adalah half of portion makanan saya before pregnant. Pelikkan? Selera makan saya adalah normal. Lagi 1, saya TAK BOLEH makan after Maghrib. Which means, saya tak boleh dinner. I have to eat before 7 p.m. Kalau tidak, habislah.
So kawan-kawan, if you do have morning sickness don't expect it to end by entering 2nd trimester because some mommies-to-be have it until they deliver their babies.
And for those who doesn't have morning sickness at all, don't worry. Some people memang jenis yang tak ada morning sickness langsung. Cargas je all the time. It depends on you, your body. So kalau dengar rumours kata if you don't have morning sickness, your baby is not developing or what... JANGAN RISAU. Just follow the flow. You're just the lucky one yang tak perlu experience sume tuh. Just think like that. Positive and just enjoy your pregnancy. As long as tak ada bleeding, rasanya should be no problem kot. Appointment jangan miss. Vitamins too. DON'T MISS! Perlu ingat, your emotion can affect the baby inside. And lagi satu, if rasa tak sedap hati ke apa, directly jumpa doktor. Sebab, sometimes mom's instinct ni kuat tau. Macam saya hari tu, rasa tak sedap hati sangat. Ask Mr.Husband to bring me to clinic. Bila check, rupanya UTI. Fuhh. Nasib baik cepat.
Oh. Lagi satu. For those yang kena morning sickness yang teruk, agak-agak masuk makanan je terus keluar balik sampai tak ada apa dah dalam perut sila consult doktor ye. Sebabnya, dikhuatiri anda dehydrated. Susah nanti. Kena warded and lalui macam-macam procedures lagi. OK?
Untuk info lanjut pasal Morning Sickness, baca kat sini ye. Detail lagi kot. TQ. ^_^
Mommies-to-be, take care!
Semoga mommies and babies sentiasa sihat. Ameen.

Ameen.

How important Ultrasounds in Pregnancy are?
Assalamualaikum
Hai anak-anak. Hari ni kelas kita adalah mengenai kepentingan US (Ultrasound) in Pregnancy. Haha. Dah macam medical school lah pulak kan? Bukan apa, I experienced abnormality in previous pregnancy. So, kali ni memang sangat-sangat-sangat paranoid la. Dah la memang paranoid sejak azali lagi kan? -_-"
For the 1st time mommy like me, mula-mula saya tak rasa sangat kepentingan US ni. Mungkin sebab tak tahu. Kan? But, after suffering for my 1st pregnancy, saya rasa US in pregnancy ni adalah PERLU.
For 2nd pregnancy ni, gynea yang pegang kes saya before ni pun memang monitor closely. Saya suka.
During my 1st trimester carrying this little miracle, in week 5, the gynea did a TVS. This is to confirm that the fertilized egg was implanted within the uterine line. And Alhamdulillah, little miracle is at the right place. 1st part, yolk sac, DONE. Fuh, no more ectopic insyaALLAH. I spoke to myself.
In week 7, the gynea repeat the US and did an abdominal scan. Alhamdulillah, the heart beat is present. Syukur sangat. Masa tu rasa nak jerit "Listen World... I am pregnant AGAIN!!!" hahaha... 2nd part, baby's heart beat, DONE. Alhamdulillah, I am going to be a mommy in less than 8 months from now. I spoke to myself AGAIN. ^_^
In week 12, I had an appointment at UMMC to have a detail scan. I am not very sure about that until I met the sonographer. She explained to me the important of doing that detail scan at the end of 1st trimester or within week 10 to week 14 of pregnancy. The first thing she concerned from the US is about Nuchal Translucency (NT). It is a a collection of fluid beneath the fetal skin in the region of the fetal neck and this is present and seen in all fetuses in early pregnancy. The fluid collection is however increased in many fetuses with Down's syndrome and many other chromosomal abnormalities. It is called a 'translucency' because on ultrasound this appears as a black space beneath the fetal skin. It is this black space that you will see measured during the ultrasound scan. (Baby2See, 2012). Just go to Baby2See for more info ya. Sonographer said that, the NT scan is very important to detect any chromosome abnormality in the fetus. Other than that, a lots of fetal abnormalities can be detected from detail scan such as anencephaly which orang Melayu kita panggil "pembentukan tempurung kepala tak lengkap" something like that. Susah bila budak engin nak mentranslate perkataan budak medic nih. Sampai hari ni saya tak pandai nak sebut. Huhu. One of my friend experienced this one. After doing the US, Alhamdulillah, everything went well and so far our little miracle is doing very good. Well developed Alhamdulillah. It is better for you to browse this one. A lot of infos given. Hopefully, it helps you to clear everything. Dan. . .

Ini little miracle masa 12w ++
Boleh nampak tak NT dia? And Nasal Bone jugak.
Entering 2nd trimester, monthly US tu ada la macam biasa. During week 24 kalau tak silap, I had an appointment with sonographer again. This is called Anomaly Scan. She checked the presence of main organs on little miracle. First, she showed us the baby's stomach. Alhamdulillah, look good. Then she proceed to little miracle's lip. It is just to make sure free from cleft lip. We saw little miracle's spine, kidney, arms, legs, fingers, and even the 4 rooms (chambers) of hearts. Everything were checked and visible. All the internal organs are growing and maturing well insyaALLAH. Subhanallah, something is growing inside me. I spoke to myself AGAIN and AGAIN. >.<
Sorry, I don't have the picture. Forgot to ask for my copy. Hihihi. And during that US, my placenta was at the normal position. A week before that, government doctor's said that I am having a low-lying placenta and it really make me worried.
And now, in 3rd trimester, I will had my US appointment and monthly check-up at UMMC by end of this month insyaALLAH. The gynea said that this 3rd detail scan will be done to make sure the position of the placenta. Other than that, the fetal growth will be monitored. Oh. Tak sabar. Please pray for everything to be well and good. InsyaALLAH.
Mommies out there, semoga segalanya berjalan lancar, dipermudahkan segala urusan kalian semasa menghadapi labour nanti. Ramai kawan-kawan saya kat RH dah menghampiri labour. Good Luck semua. Doakan saya juga ye. Semoga both mommies and babies sihat, dipanjangkan umur, dipermudahkan segalanya. Ameen. Ameen. Ameen.
Oh. Lupa. Nah, cuba la browse this link for more info pasal US. Harap membantu.
Thanks. Salam Jumaat. Dan selamat berhari minggu.
Subhanallah, indahnya ciptaan Allah. Can't wait to meet ours.

Ectopic Pregnancy. Do we care?
Assalamualaikum.
Ok.
Me too. Langsung tak pernah tahu apa itu kehamilan luar rahim. And even worst tak pernah dengar pun.
Mungkin disebabkan ketidak tahuan saya, Allah nak bagi saya ambil tahu, Allah bagi saya experienced sendiri what ectopic pregnancy is.
Ectopic pregnancy adalah sangat menyakitkan bila lambat detect. In my case, during my 5th week of pregnancy, saya dapat rasa macam sakit sangat di sebelah kiri abdomen. Without suspecting anything, I went to the clinic and the doctor diagnosed saya mengalami UTI (Uterine Track Infection). Masa tu, I was given Mixture of Pottasium Citrate to neutralize back my urine. It tastes so bad. Tak sedap.
After 2 weeks, sakit yang sama datang balik. The pain became worst. After Isyak, I called my husband. Seriously I can't bear the pain anymore. Subhanallah. Sakit.
Husband brought me to the clinic and the doctor suspected ectopic pregnancy. He directly wrote a referral letter to UMMC. At UMMC, I was directly sent to emergency room. My very 1st experience masuk emergency room dalam keadaan sakit.
Scan macam biasa, doc tanya 'are you sure you are pregnant?' masa tu hancur luluh hati ni. Doc cakap lagi yang rahim saya kosong. It might be ectopic. Saya dah blur-blur fikirkan apa itu ectopic. Then doc request untuk scan thru vagina. Normally in 7-8 weeks pregnancy, scanning thru vagina memang boleh nampak the sac. And if you are lucky, dapat tengok the baby's heart beating.
TVS (Transvaginal Scan) adalah menggerunkan. Mungkin sebab saya dalam kesakitan masa tu. Kalau tak sakit, mungkin cuma rasa tak selesa sebab something was inserted thru our vagina. Tak nampak juga sac. And doc dapati macam ada some fluids inside there. She suspected that yang kat dalam tu dah pecah and I need an emergency operation before I loss lots of blood.
Unfortunately, OT (Operation Theatre) was not available plus the specialist too. So, saya kena puasa and akan dioperate keesokan hari. Malam tu, saya menahan sakit keseorangan.
The next day, sakit semakin bertambah. Tak sanggup rasanya nak menambahkan susah hati husband.
And petang tu saya selamat. Alhamdulillah.
Ok. Itu experience saya. Now, let we learn what ectopic pregnancy is about.
According to WebMD, Ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg attaches somewhere other than in the uterus, usually in a fallopian tube (tubal pregnancy). When a fertilized egg attaches to a fallopian tube, it can be dangerous because the pregnancy can break into blood vessels. In a simple sentence, we can say that ectopic pregnancy ni boleh berlaku bila pergerakan sel yang dah disenyawakan itu adalah tidak lengkap. It stopped and implanted at the wrong place.
Ectopic pregnancy can damage the fallopian tube, which can make it difficult to become pregnant in the future.
Ectopic pregnancies are usually detected early enough to prevent deadly complications such as severe bleeding. A ruptured ectopic pregnancy requires emergency surgery to prevent heavy bleeding into the abdomen. The affected tube is partially or fully removed. - Sama macam kes saya.
Read what happens in ectopic pregnancy.
Read what causes ectopic pregnancy.
Advanced fertility Centre of Chicago pulak kata, Ectopic Pregnancy can be defined as a pregnancy with the fertilized embryo implanted on any tissue other than the uterine lining. 95% of ectopics are in the tube, 1.5% abdominal, 0.5% ovarian and 0.03% are in the cervix.
Symptoms and signs of Ectopic Pregnancy yang saya dapat rasa;
1. Cramp pada lower abdomen. (Macam period pain kot)
2. UPT +ve macam orang yang normal pregnancy cuma 2nd line saya appear sangat lambat and blur. Imagine, saya test pagi-pagi. After dah balik kerja petang tu baru nampak.
3. Shoulder pain. Ini terjadi sebab bleeding kat dalam abdomen under the diaphragm. The bleeding irritates the diaphragm and is experienced as shoulder pain.
4. Normal symptoms for pregnant women. I experience this one. Macam delayed period, fatigue, frequent urinating, etc.
5. Abnomial pain which is more severe on the left side where the fertilized egg implanted.
Ini antara signs yang saya dapat rasa. Other than that, kawan-kawan boleh refer kat sini.
About the medication pulak, macam dalam kes saya ni, surgery adalah yang paling relevant lah sebab the tube has ruptured already. In case of dapat detect awal, a medicine called Methotrexate will be given to the patient to terminate the pregnancy. More info, directly go here. Ectopic pregnancy can be detected earlier before it damages your organs. So, as soon as you got +ve for UPT, please go to the clinic and request for a scan. It helps a lot. Saya selalu pesan kat kawan-kawan.
About the chances of getting pregnant again after ectopic pregnancy, some sources said that getting pregnant after ectopic can be difficult. TAPI, as a Muslim, kita serah semuanya pada ALLAH. Sebab, all these things happen for reasons. Betul tak? No matter what people say, Allah is still The Very Best Planner. Allah Maha Tahu segalanya.Macam kes saya, (bukan nak proud or being arrogant ke apa ye...just for info) I took 1 month gap before getting pregnant again and it was unexpected but it was planned (HIHIHI). Seriously. UNEXPECTED. Yes, we are trying hard to conceive again sebab we really want to have a baby but we never expected that ALLAH gave us this little miracle secepat ini. Plus my husband's friends are now having their 2nd and 3rd baby already. Huhu. Alhamdulillah, memang syukur sangat-sangat and I really hope that this pregnancy will succeed till I deliver this little miracle. Tak tau macamana dah nak express rasa syukur ni. Memang speechless.
Fuhhh.. Panjangnya. Tarik nafas kejap....
Tahniah kerana membaca sehingga ke perenggan ini. Huhu. Entri bakal tamat. Tapi saya nak ingatkan sahabat-sahabat semua, once you got +ve, tolonglah immediately pegi scan. Ectopic adalah sangat sakit. Lebih sakit bila doc decided untuk remove one of the tubes. Seriously. Apa pun, sentiasa ingatlah yang Allah sentiasa bersama kita. Berdoa dan terus berdoa.

Common Problems In Pregnancy
Assalamualaikum.
Hari ni nak share pasal pregnancy lagi. Hihi. Plus nak tanya opinions kawan-kawan semua jugak.
I read an article regarding common problems in pregnancy. Both sources Malaysia and overseas. Most of them discussed the same thing. Normal la kan? They studied based on the same phenomenons pun kan. So, no wonder la sama.
According to Women's Care, these are the common problems incorporated with preggers.
Another info, you can visit NHS Choice.
Yang paling menarik perhatian saya dekat NHS Choice ni ialah pasal pelvic joint pain. Seriously, I am suffering of that pain. Tapi, kena terus positif. Ni baru sikit. Belum labour pain lagi. >.<
Pelvic Joint Pain ni macamana?
Ok. Susah nak describe. It is a pain which came from your pelvic bone. Sakit memang sakit. Especially bila baring, nak bangun. Memang incik asben kena support. Sakit tak lama. Tapi datang tiba-tiba. Itu yang menjadi masalah. Kadang-kadang, tengah berjalan. Time solat pun ada. From sujud, nak duduk antara dua sujud. Subhanallah. Sakit tu sampai terdiam sekejap. Then ok balik. Tak lama pun.
Lepas tu, pasal vaginal discharge. Seriously it really bothered me. Dah la saya takut nak serah diri kat doktor. Takut kena masukkan 'muncung itik'... Huhu. Seriously scary. Haaaaa. Tapi rasanya one day saya tetap kena pergi serah diri jugak.
Huh. Bercakap mengenai kesihatan ni macam membosankan. Agaknya sebab tu jugak lah saya tak ditakdirkan untuk jadi medical student. >.<
Ok. Off for now.
Bye
